چکیده
A bstract The string vertices of closed field theory are subsets the moduli spaces punctured Riemann surfaces that satisfy a geometric version Batalin-Vilkovisky master equation. We present homological proof existence and their uniqueness up to canonical transformations. Using hyperbolic metrics on with geodesic boundaries we give an exact construction as sets systole greater than or equal L ≤ 2 arcsinh 1. Intrinsic collars prevent appearance short geodesics upon sewing. generated by Feynman diagrams naturally endowed Thurston metrics: flat propagators. N-string vertices in string field theory.
We give the general form of the vertex corresponding to the interaction of an arbitrary number of strings. The technique employed relies on the “comma” representation of String Field Theory where string fields and interactions are represented as matrices and operations between them such as multiplication and trace. The general formulation presented here shows that the interaction vertex of N st...
متن کاملString Vertices and Inner Derivations
We show that it is algebraically consistent to express the string field theory operators ∂, K and I as inner derivations of the B-V algebra of string vertices. In this approach, the recursion relations for the string vertices are found to take the form of a ‘geometrical’ quantum master equation, 1 2{B,B} + ∆B = 0. We also show that the B-V delta operator cannot be an inner derivation on the alg...
متن کاملSewing string tree vertices with ghosts
In the early days of String Theory, one way to obtain amplitudes for the scattering of an arbitrary number of strings was by using the factorization property, what means that the scattering amplitude of N strings may be interpreted as the scattering amplitudes of a smaller number of strings sewn together. This made it possible to build the N string scattering amplitude by knowing the expression...
متن کاملHyperbolic Spaces in String and M - Theory
We describe string-theory and d = 11 supergravity solutions involving symmetric spaces of constant negative curvature. Many examples of non-supersymmetric string compactifications on hyperbolic spaces H r of finite volume are given in terms of suitable cosets of the form H r /Γ, where Γ is a discrete group. We describe in some detail the cases of the non-compact hyperbolic spaces F 2 and F 3 , ...
متن کاملSewing string tree vertices with ghosts using canonical forms
We effectively sew two vertices with ghosts in order to obtain a third, composite vertex in the most general case of cycling transformations. In order to do this, we separate the vertices into two parts: a bosonic oscillator part and a ghost oscillator part and write them as canonical forms.
